What Is Furniture Removal?

Furniture removal in Toronto covers sofas, sectionals, bed frames, dressers, dining sets, and armoires - priced by load volume using a quarter, half, or full truck. Every booking uses a WSIB-compliant two-person crew with 4-wheel furniture dollies, moving blankets, and hardwood floor protection. Reusable furniture is assessed on-site and routed to Furniture Bank Toronto or Habitat for Humanity ReStore - both registered Ontario charities - with the remainder sent to Ontario Ministry of the Environment eco-certified transfer stations.

The City will take some furniture at the curb on collection day, but only in limited quantities, only on the right week, and only if you can get it out there yourself. That last part is where most people stop. A sectional does not go down a condo stairwell on its own, and a solid oak dresser is a genuine two-person lift. That two-person lift is exactly what our crews are staffed for on every junk removal booking across Toronto and the GTA, so nothing has to reach the curb before we arrive.

We do the whole thing. The crew comes to the room the furniture is standing in, protects the route, dismantles anything that needs it, and carries it out. You never touch the piece.

What Is Included

  • Removal from any floor, with or without an elevator access
  • On-site disassembly of beds, sectionals, and modular units
  • Floor and doorway protection during the carry
  • Donation routing for pieces still in usable condition
  • Recycling of metal frames, glass, and wood where possible
  • Load-based pricing confirmed before we start

Common Problems We Solve

It Will Not Fit Through The Door

Furniture that came in flat-packed rarely comes out whole. We carry the tools to take apart bed frames, sectional sofas, and modular shelving on site, then carry the pieces out individually. This is included, not an extra.

The Building Has Rules

Condo and apartment buildings across Toronto want the dock booked, the elevator reserved, and a Certificate of Insurance filed before anything moves. We handle that coordination with the concierge or property manager, usually the day before, so the job is not turned away at the door.

It Is Too Good To Dump

A lot of the furniture we collect has years left in it. Rather than sending it to landfill by default, we set usable pieces aside and route them to Furniture Bank and Habitat ReStore, both of which supply GTA families furnishing a home from scratch. Where the charity issues a receipt, we pass it on to you.

There Is More Than One Piece

Downsizing, staging a home for sale, or clearing after a family move usually means several rooms at once. Because we price by the load rather than by the item, taking the whole lot in one visit is almost always cheaper than three separate pickups.

What It Costs

Furniture is priced by the space it occupies in the truck. A single chair or small table sits at our $49 to $89 minimum. A bedroom set or a sofa plus a few side pieces usually lands in the $89 to $149 quarter-truck band. A full living and dining room, or the contents of a staged home, typically runs $199 to $279.

Every quote is confirmed on site before the first piece is lifted. If you have a specific item in mind, our couch removal and mattress disposal pages cover those in detail, or start with junk removal in Toronto for a mixed load.

The Difference

Why Choose Us For Furniture Removal

Every Floor, Every Doorway

Third-floor walk-ups, spiral stairs, and 1920s hallways are routine for us. We measure the route before we start so nothing gets stuck halfway.

Good Furniture Gets A Second Life

We route usable sofas, dressers, and dining sets to donation partners across the GTA rather than sending them straight to landfill.

No Damage, No Drama

Blankets, straps, and floor protection come standard, and we carry $2M liability insurance for the rare occasion something goes wrong.

Priced By The Load

One armchair or a whole living room, you get a fixed load-based price before we lift anything. No hourly meter running while we work.

Simple Process

How Our Furniture Removal Works

  1. 01

    Send A Photo

One photo of the piece and the doorway or stairwell tells us what crew and equipment to bring.

  2. 02

    Book Your Window

Same-day or next-day, morning or afternoon. We confirm the slot and call before we arrive.

  3. 03

    Protect, Dismantle, Carry

We pad the piece, take legs or sections off when the doorway demands it, and carry it out without scuffing walls.

  4. 04

    Donate Or Recycle

Anything still usable goes to Furniture Bank or Habitat ReStore. The rest is broken down for recycling and eco-certified disposal.

Furniture Removal FAQs

How much does furniture removal cost in Toronto?

Most furniture jobs land between $89 and $279 depending on how much space the pieces take in the truck. A single armchair or small table sits at the minimum of $49 to $89, a bedroom set is usually a quarter to half truck, and a full living and dining room is typically $199 to $279.

Will you take furniture from an upstairs bedroom?

Yes. Any floor, with or without an elevator. Our two-person crew handles the stairs and we dismantle pieces where the stairwell or doorway will not take them whole.

Do you donate furniture that is still in good condition?

Yes, wherever the piece is clean, structurally sound, and the partner is accepting it that week. We work with Furniture Bank and Habitat for Humanity GTA ReStore, and we can provide a donation receipt when the charity issues one.

Can you remove a sofa from a condo?

Yes. We book the loading dock and service elevator with your building and provide a Certificate of Insurance to property management if they require one before the job.

Do you disassemble furniture?

Yes, when it is needed to get the piece out. Bed frames, sectional sofas, and modular shelving are commonly taken apart on site at no extra charge.

What about mattresses and box springs?

Those are priced per unit at $79 to $109 and go to a mattress recycling facility where the foam, coils, and textiles are recovered. See our mattress disposal page for details.

Can you come the same day?

Usually yes. Book before our mid-morning cutoff and we will confirm a same-day window, with a flat $50 rush surcharge.

Still have a question?

Call the crew directly and we will tell you straight whether we can take it and what it costs.
