What Is Shed Removal?
Shed removal in Toronto covers wood-frame, metal, and vinyl resin sheds up to 12x20 ft from residential backyards. Every removal includes structural disassembly, concrete anchor breaking where present, and material sorting - lumber goes to wood recyclers, metal panels to scrap processors, and vinyl to eco-certified transfer stations. A WSIB-compliant two-person crew handles backyard access including fence panel removal and reinstallation where needed.
Most of the sheds we remove in Toronto are past saving. The roof has gone, the base has rotted where it meets the ground, the door no longer closes, and it has become a storage box for things nobody has looked at in five years. Rather than repair it, people clear the corner of the yard entirely. Tear-down and haul-away are quoted as one upfront price, the same way we quote every junk removal job across Toronto and the GTA.
What Is Included
- Full tear-down of the structure: roof, walls, and floor
- Removal of contents in the same load
- Sorting of timber, metal, and shingles into the right streams
- Extraction of loose fixings, nails, and anchors from the ground
- Raking and clean-up of the footprint
- Haul-away and disposal
Common Problems We Solve
It Is Falling Down On Its Own
A leaning or partially collapsed shed is unpredictable to take apart, which is exactly why it is not a weekend project. We strip it in order, roof first, so the structure comes down in a controlled way rather than around somebody.
It Is Still Full
Almost every shed we remove has a lawn mower, a stack of pots, three bicycles, and a pile of offcuts inside. That goes in the same load. The only things we cannot take are fuel, paint, solvents, and oil, which we separate and point you toward a free household hazardous waste depot for.
Access Is Through A Side Gate
Backyard sheds are behind fences by definition. Because we dismantle rather than lift, everything leaves in carryable pieces through a standard gate.
You Are Replacing It
If a new shed is coming, the important part is the base. We remove the old floor and joists, pull out anchors, and rake the footprint flat so a new pad or shed can go straight in. A concrete base underneath can be removed too, quoted separately by weight.
What It Costs
- Small shed, up to 8x8 ft: $349 to $429
- Standard shed, 8x10 to 10x12 ft: $429 to $519
- Large or double shed: $519 to $599
Tear-down, contents, haul-away, and site raking are all in the price. If the hot tub is going in the same visit, ask about combining them under one booking: see hot tub removal. For a concrete pad or footing underneath, see concrete removal in Toronto.
