What Is Compliant Tire Disposal?

Tire disposal in Toronto covers passenger, light truck, ATV, and off-road tires under Ontario Regulation 84/03, which prohibits landfilling tires in Ontario. Every load is transported to Ontario Tire Stewardship registered collectors for mechanical processing - rubber is shredded for playground surfaces and athletic tracks, and steel belts are extracted for scrap. A WSIB-compliant two-person crew handles stacking, loading, and transfer documentation.

The practical problem is getting them there. Most people have four to eight seasonal tires in a garage corner that have outlived the car they belonged to, and hauling them to a depot means filling a trunk with dirty rubber and finding somewhere that will take them without a purchase. We handle that trip for you, and tires can travel with any other load on our junk removal runs across Toronto and the GTA.

We collect them from where they sit and put them into the correct stream.

What Is Included

  • Collection from a garage, shed, driveway, or yard
  • Any quantity from four to several hundred
  • Tires on or off rims
  • Car, light truck, trailer, and larger tires
  • Steel rims separated for scrap metal recycling
  • Delivery into Ontario’s regulated tire recycling stream

Common Problems We Solve

The Seasonal Set Outlived The Car

Winter tires stay in the garage long after the vehicle is gone. They take up a corner, they attract standing water in summer, and nobody wants them in the trunk of the new car.

The Retailer Would Not Take Them

Tire shops accept used tires when they are fitting new ones, not as a walk-in drop-off. If you did the swap yourself or bought the car with a spare set, there is no obvious place for them to go.

Cleaning Out A Garage

Tires turn up in almost every garage cleanout we do. They are handled within the same load and sorted into the tire stream separately, at no additional charge.

A Shop Or Fleet Has A Stack

Garages, tire shops, and fleet yards accumulate faster than their contracted collection can clear. We run scheduled and one-off pickups across the GTA with a Certificate of Insurance available on request.

What It Costs

  • Small quantity, four to eight tires: $49 to $89
  • Medium load, garage clear-out volume: $89 to $149
  • Large load or tires on rims: $149 to $199

Larger truck, trailer, and tractor tires are quoted individually because of their weight. If the tires are part of a wider clear-out, they are usually cheaper folded into a garage cleanout load. Old metal rims, tools, and shelving are covered under scrap metal removal in Toronto.

The Difference

Why Choose Us For Tire Disposal

Legal Disposal, Not A Ditch

Tires cannot go in general waste in Ontario. We route them into the regulated recycling stream and dispose of them properly.

Any Quantity

Four seasonal tires from a garage corner or two hundred from a shop clear-out. Both are priced by load.

Rims Are Not A Problem

Tires on rims are heavier and handled differently, but we take them either way. Steel rims go to scrap metal recycling.

Fast And Cheap

A small tire pickup starts at our $49 minimum, and most jobs are done in fifteen minutes.

Simple Process

How Our Tire Disposal Works

  1. 01

    Tell Us How Many

Count them and note whether they are on rims. Car, truck, or trailer tires all price differently.

  2. 02

    Book A Window

Same-day or next-day. Tire pickups are quick, often ten to fifteen minutes on site.

  3. 03

    We Load Them

The crew stacks and loads. You do not need to move them to the curb or clean them off.

  4. 04

    Into The Recycling Stream

Tires go into Ontario's regulated tire recycling stream where the rubber is recovered rather than landfilled.

Tire Disposal FAQs

How much does tire disposal cost in Toronto?

Small quantities start at our $49 to $89 minimum, and larger loads run to $199. Tires on rims and oversized truck or tractor tires sit at the higher end because of the extra weight and handling.

Why can I not put tires in the garbage?

Ontario regulates tires as a separate waste stream, and they are prohibited from landfill. Retailers collect an eco-fee at the point of sale to fund that recycling, which is why disposal has to run through a compliant route.

Do you take tires on rims?

Yes. They are heavier to handle and priced accordingly, but we take them either way. Steel rims are separated and sent to scrap metal recycling.

Can you take truck, trailer, or tractor tires?

Yes. Larger tires are quoted individually because of their weight and the handling they need, so send a photo and a count and we will price it before booking.

How many tires can you take at once?

As many as you have. A single truck holds a substantial stack, and larger volumes from shops or fleets are scheduled as multiple loads.

What happens to the tires?

They go into Ontario's regulated tire recycling stream, where the rubber is processed into crumb rubber for surfaces, moulded products, and fuel substitutes, and the steel belting is recovered.

Do you serve businesses and garages?

Yes. We handle recurring pickups for garages, tire shops, and fleet operators across the GTA, with a Certificate of Insurance available on request.

Still have a question?

Call the crew directly and we will tell you straight whether we can take it and what it costs.
